Elizabeth Jurgeleit
Lizzy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in interior design from Washington State University. While in school she spent a semester abroad in Florence studying Italian architecture and design. During her exchange she had the opportunity to visit Italian architecture firms, travel on design field trips to Milan, Venice, and Bologna. Her studio led by an Italian architect provided a unique opportunity to learn about and be inspired by Italian culture and history. She believes that experiencing other cultures increases creativity and open mindedness, allowing for us to be better designers.
Growing up she has always had a passion for art and the outdoors leading her into a career in design. Lizzy is interested in creating emotional connections with the built environment through spatial design, materiality and lighting. She holds a LEED (leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) GA certificate and focuses on sustainable design as much as possible.
Born in Juneau and raised in Haines, Lizzy is passionate about Alaska and loves the culture of Southeast. When not working she can be found exploring the endless trails Juneau has to offer, navigating the oceans by sea kayak or travelling the world out of her backpack.
