Alain was born and raised in Juneau and graduated from Thunder Mountain High School in 2022. Alain worked as an intern at NWA the summer after he graduated and is returning for the summer of 2023 after finishing his freshman year at the Rhode Island School of Design. He has a keen interest in art and design – in particular, learning about how building design can help improve the communities in which they reside. 

Already an accomplished artist, the beauty of Southeast Alaska inspires Alain to create vivid acrylic paintings of the wilds around him. Finding his inspiration in the natural scenery and landscapes Alaska has to offer, Alain has won competitions, and his art has been sponsored at various venues and galleries around town. 

When he is not creating art or working, Alain enjoys spending time skiing, surfing, and camping.
