Summer Putman
Summer is currently attending the University of Oregon, working towards her Bachelor of Architecture. She has worked at Northwind every summer as an intern since she graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School. Growing up in a historic home in Juneau has made her conscious about historic conservation and the protection of community culture. In her future professional architecture career, she wants to focus on designing environmentally conscious buildings that help to preserve the natural beauty of the land.
Living in both Eugene and Juneau, Summer enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking and camping. She loves to watercolor in her spare time, painting landscapes of the places she travels to. She comes from a long-time Alaskan family and was born and raised in Juneau.
