NorthWind began design work with the Goldbelt Hotel in 2012 to update their guest rooms, corridors, fitness, and meeting rooms with a warm, modern color palette that complimented the extensive natural light and views that the full window walls in the guest rooms offered. Upon completion, each room was also enhanced with contemporary finishes and furnishings. A design was also proposed by NorthWind for a lobby renovation, following a similar modern aesthetic, but remains unbuilt. NorthWind worked with the client to get the most out of a tight budget. The project was one where the construction management and general contractor worked together, which allowed for multiple value engineering sessions. Ultimately, the project was completed at 20% less than originally projected.
