Recovery and Reentry Housing

When an existing transitional home for CCTHITA was damaged in a flood, CCTHITA and NorthWind Architects worked collaboratively on a replacement facility of a new transitional home that fit into the residential neighborhood. The home was designed with the Recovery and Reentry program’s values and traditional values at the forefront, working closely with staff through the process. The home is intended for women to have safe and secure housing while transitioning out of incarceration, with generous gathering spaces for dining/group meetings/ recreation and a separate playroom for family time during visiting hours. The facility has an on-site residential manager with their own separate 1-bedroom accessory apartment and office space for the Recovery and Reentry staff, and was completed in 2024.
