Originally built in the 1970’s with multiple additions since, this building-wide renovation presents significant structural and mechanical challenges. Work centers around introduction of the Integrated Care Team model to the outpatient clinic, addition of multiple exam rooms for a total count of 12, conversion of an existing exam room to an airborne infection isolation room, construction of completely new lab and pharmacy facilities and renovation of the existing ED treatment room and ambulance bay. The Integrated Care Team area is the core of the faciHainlity, sky-lit and highly glazed to create internal access to natural light for both patient and staff areas. Work is phased and sequenced to allow construction to occur without interrupting ongoing healthcare operations.
